About this app

The JBL Compact Connect is an easy-to-use application for tablets and mobile devices that is designed to offer complete control of up to four JBL EON ONE Compact PA speakers at a time. Featuring Bluetooth audio control, the application gives you free reign over all of the EON ONE Compact’s setting and capabilities. From controlling the speaker’s four-channel digital mixer, to adjusting effects, saving and recalling presets and much more, JBL Compact Connect allows you to easily tailor your speaker to fit your application. Plus, JBL Compact Connect directly links to the speaker’s hardware, so any change you make from the application will reflect on your EON ONE Compact’s LED indicators, including volume levels. App only works on phones, not on tablets or anything with a large enough screen to easily or accurately set the device up. * Sliders need a numerical input field given they are so finicky. * App needs to work on All devices; tablets, Mac OS, Windows * There needs to be a way to back the settings up. The only way to get the device out of an unusable mode is to do a factory reset which removes all settings. Sometimes, removing the battery works, sometimes it doesn't.

Has ANYONE gotten this app to work successfully? Worked at first and I really liked the EQ function, but no longer connects to my speaker. Tried on a friend's speaker and can't find his either. Both are EON One Compact. The location requirement is annoying, but manageable. However, the request to access files/photos is completely invasive and unnecessary for the functions this app offers. I denied the app access to files/photos, is that a requirement for the app to continue functioning?

Jerks! Why does this app ONLY work if you have location services enabled and allowed. You don't need to know my location so that I can use the speaker I purchased. I abhor when companies overreach in this way!!!! In response to the developer: that's not true. The app won't move past the enable location for the app and locations services on the phone before using any function of the app. I'll happily share the screen shot showing this if you give me an email to send it to.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41716452/why-location-permission-are-required-for-ble-scan-in-android-marshmallow-onwards/41717433 App never try to know your location, but use GPS for scanning devices. This is needed for Bluetooth Low Energy, but not for Bluetooth Classic.
