Gameplay has been good, and I love the puzzles for helping my kids learn the game as well. However, all the the puzzles with checkmate in more than 1 move always says wrong move, even when making the move suggested by the hint option. I've even verified with my chess board that the first move (which this game says is wrong) leads to checkmate in the required number of moves; and is the only way to get checkmate in the required number of moves.

Hello Jeffrey. Thanks for tour feedback ! If you retry the puzzle do you still have the issue? We will fix that issue.

Honestly, not bad. The ads are about what I'd expect for a free game these days. Though idk if there's a glitch or what, but in the second bishop tutorial I believe it'll only allow me to get 2 stars on completion even though I use as few moves as possible. Unless I've misunderstood how it works, but I've only used a single move to get each star on the board (there are 7 stars and I've only used 7 moves to get them all)

The AI doesn't know how to promote pawns (even on "Master I (ELO 2500)" level). Please update. Other than that issue, the AI difficulty scales nicely, and I'm learning quite a bit as I progress through the levels. But such a glaring logical error drops my review from 4 or 5 stars to 2. Also, the ads are too long.
