Currently, users must connect their phone to the camera's Wi-Fi to link the two devices. This is a core part of the camera's functionality as it allows users to remotely preview and control the camera, and download footage from the camera to the phone. However, the camera's Wi-Fi is a local network that does not provide internet access, meaning most users cannot access the internet once they are connected to the camera. This setup causes a lot of inconvenience, for example, in scenarios like live streaming, where users need to frequently disconnect and reconnect the camera to perform app authorization and other tasks. To address this issue, we use VpnService to route specific requests to the cellular network, preventing users from having to repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the camera.

Ratings and reviews

Terrible app. All I want to do is stitch together 360 clips and upload them to YouTube with 360 metadata right on my phone. This app seems to have no interest in letting me do that. It won't let me export the video because "At least one of the clips is unedited, please edit all clips before exporting." By the way, trimming doesn't count apparently. I do not want to create silly speed ramping or reframing effects, or god gorbid make AI garbage with my videos. I just want to upload 360 content.

While the camera is great, editing on this app just keeps getting worst! The frame rate is super slow and I could never finish editing any video coz it keeps on lagging then crashing every.single.time! I haven't edited in the last 3 months and the app is way way worst!!! There has to be a way to complement the camera than this lagging and terrible app!

All the sudden the app is not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (SM-X710), but was compatible when I purchased the X4 and installed/activated on 7/9/24 (version 1.65). Fortunately the app is still compatible with my pixel 7a, but I'd much rather be editing on the tablet as my wife and I are on vacation and like to edit together.
