I've used the free version of this cleaner for years (I also have the paid version of the antivirus). It's loaded on several of our phones and has performed wonderfully. It seems to be selective on which phones it will clean the hidden cache and browser history. I recently upgraded to a new phone and it will not clean those 2 items unless I purchase the cleaner. Seems like they are always looking to bleed more fees despite the constant barrage of ads. I will be looking for a different cleaner.

Hi, maintaining a unique feature like deleting hidden cache is a demanding long-term matter that creates costs for us, as we need to deal with different brands and versions of operating systems constantly. This feature became premium to receive proper care. Thanks for understanding. Hector*Avast

Edit: My phone's been fast since deleting. I will not reinstall. -------I thought my phone could have been running slow (it was firefox), so I downloaded avast and paid for a yearly subscription. My phone has been chugging for weeks and despite any settings changes I'd tried it didn't improve. After deleting the app, my phone actually got faster instantly. This was a cheaper lesson than most, and I'm grateful for that.

Hi, it really should not make your phone run slower. It should make it fast, but bugs may occur. If you want us to deal with it, please contact our Support directly from the app (Menu → Help & support → Avast direct support). My colleagues will find a solution for you. Thanks.

If you like ads you're gonna LOVE Avast Cleanup! You get to watch at least three ads every time you use it. Best of all, some of them are 60+ seconds long with no ability to skip. Isn't that great?!! Avast thinks so, as they stuff their pockets at your expense and teeth-gnashing irritation. Sorry, not sorry, Avast greed-heads. There are too many alternatives out there to waste time with your ads and mandatory updates.

Hi, unless you are using the "paid for free" version (where you can use some Premium stuff in exchange for watching full ads), all ads should be skippable after the first 5 seconds. If you like the app itself, please consider upgrading - there are no ads in the Premium version. Hector*Avast
