Hola! We are an Irish couple (Jane and Brian) living in Spain and learning Spanish. We started Ella Verbs as we were looking for a way to improve our Spanish verbs and make the jump from intermediate to advanced Spanish speakers. We tried many ways to improve our Spanish grammar (books, apps, tutors – you name it, we tried it!), but never found the one that clicked. So we built it!

We aren’t your typical Spanish flashcards or verb trainer app. Our philosophy is “learn, quiz, repeat”. We teach you, then quiz you and then surface content again when you need it most. It’s been proven that quizzing helps with concentration, identifying gaps in knowledge and long term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). Because it's just the two of us, we personally read and respond to every feedback email and review. So if you have an idea, issue, question or whatever, please get in touch! From day 1 this app's simple yet straightforward approach made conjugating... *easier*, for me. How I remember it: an unsurmountable hurdle in HS spanish class. I failed that class so hard, I was given the option to drop it. 10 yrs later I regret not advancing to level 2. Spanish is so widely spoken in NYC. So Ella verbs re-invigorated me to try again. I'm retaining verbs w/o fat textbooks (my trauma 😂). If you get pro it's a game changer... why go back to an owl who nags me abt my streak?!

I've had this app for about 2 years, and it really is fantastic when it comes to learning verb forms and also practicing vocabulary. Sometimes I won't use it for a while and think that maybe I should cancel it, but whenever I come back to it, it's so useful that I will definitely keep my subscription active.

Ella Verbs is the fastest, most user-friendly way to learn and properly conjugate Spanish Verbs! I use Ella along side other learning platforms to get the most benefit. If you are like me--needing repetition to learn--this app is for you! The quizes are quick and helpful, but the best part of this Ella Verbs is the "custom practice features." I can easily focus on the verbs that I need to work on and the conjugations that are most challenging for me. And Ella has a TON of verbs! Perfect for me!
