Yearly and monthly subscriptions are billed via Apple's subscription service. Subscriptions are linked to your Apple ID & KAYA user, so if you switch devices your KAYA user will still be subscribed to Pro -- no manual "restore" is required.

Ratings and reviews

The app itself seems fine, although after making an account you have to watch an unskippable video selling the pro version. Then when I finally got in, it lists my major local gym chain (each facility), but after adding them all, none are actually on the app (just empty stubs). It's the most popular gym in my very populated state. I'll consider trying again if it gains more adoption, but paywalled features will likely make me not bother.

Incredibly slow on my newish phone. To the point that it is frustrating to wait for the laggy app to do anything. You never know if an input is received or not. Moving around my gym's map is terrible. I wouldnt use the app if my gym didn't use it to grade climbs. Pretty disappointing that this is seemingly the go to app for climbing. Also subscription model for full guidebook access is wack.

Useful app if you're regularly climbing at a gym or outdoor spot where people are regularly using it. I picked it up when I was visiting Chicago and there were a lot of routes logged at the gym I was going to there. Nobody at my home gym uses it, though, so none of the routes/problems are listed and it makes it pretty useless now that I'm back home.
