this feature works perfectly! thank you Verizon! Update: a year after using the app, it didn't seem to catch as many scam calls as it used to. So I tried the paid app for 3.99 a month. UPDATE 5/24- call filter working very well! It took some dedicated work on my part doing the reporting of numbers. After doing so for a few months, I'm getting far fewer spam calls. From 35 a day down to 4 or 5. Home phone gets zero!!! Thank you Verizon!!!! 8/24 update- last update to call filter is glorious!!!!!

updated from prior 1* review Subscription required. Does a decent job of identifying spam calls, but is unreliable in actually stopping the calls. Some are blocked entirely while others ring through even though they are marked as "spam," which is an annoyance and opens the possibility of answering inadvertently (eg from Bluetooth headset while driving).

Had the same service with T-mobile... paid the same amount monthly. T-mobile FULLY BLOCKS the caller from leaving a voice message. Not sure if I'll continue to pay for this. I can easily go on my Samsung phone and block calls. A lot of the numbers have no caller ID info so that's pointless to pay for too. I'm going to cancel then see if it actually is worth the money. Come on Verizon. If you're going to charge for this service, unwanted callers should be FULLY BLOCKED!!!
