Ratings and reviews

The devs permanently pinned a Telegram Plus channel to the top of everyone's chat where they asked for money. They fixed the problem they introduced, and it's a good app, but this doesn't bode well for the future so I'm taking away a star. Edit: I rolled back to a stable version without pinned channels and turned off updates. Now the app constantly bugs me about updating. You've lost trust, I don't want your updates, stop bugging me. If I disable auto updates that's my decision, no discussion.

The latest update pins their stupid announcements channel at the top and prevents deleting ot hiding it. They literally say this update pins it at the top for users who haven't already done that. Nobody wants your spam in their chats, that's why no one is joining it. Edit: No, the official channel cannot be hidden. I've tried. It can't be deleted, hidden, or archived. Edit 2: They released a new update & now the app won't even open. It immediately crashes. They managed to make it worse.

Used to be fantastic! I really loved all the different settings and themes that you wouldn't be able to get with regular Telegram. But the latest releases crash repeatedly on both of my devices. Also they force you to join their update channels. Im just going to go back to regular Telegram.
