You can use it to do some controls and settings , such as dimming and grading, setting various dynamic modes and scenes, music rhythms of several sound sources and optional rhythm styles, timer setting for lights on/off, pixel setting, line sequence setting, etc.
MagicLantern App is designed to be fun and easy to use, with a certain degree of professionalism and ease of use.

The light I got is pretty cool but the app to change light styles and colors on sucks pretty bad. The app itself just has a horrible design to it. It could be easier to use but for some reason they make it a little hard to navigate. I also hate that you can't save color and style settings so that its easy to jump back and forth to the different colors and styles I like.

worst app ever! it won't go to the color you chose, chose orange it lights up blue. cant do 3 colors that dont flash. it takes an hour to go thru 50 colors to get to the one you want. I know other apps that people have, it takes two minutes to program a few colors and the lights stay stable. magic lantern is a terrible program. I am taking the lights down and throwing them awsy, not worth the agrivation. Not enjoyable at all. not even giving it one star but have to for it to post

LEDs paired with this app tend to be good in general terms of lighting quality. However, I've noticed a pattern that destroys any good feedback. The app just like the remote my LED strip came with, the options on them/settings dont match the strip operation. You choose white and it turns it off. You choose purple on the app, the app then gives you green on the LED. App does not sync properly is my guess. Regardless if it wasn't for my kids, I'd be returning the item because of the app.
