1ST Class App Reminds me of the app I used to have on iphone that android never did. Perfect as far as I'm concerned. Rooted, w/ CM 7.2 installed no problems running it. Quit complaining and build something better if it's not for you.
It has nice maps but the hurricane tracks use three colors, red, green and yellow without a legend to identify the meaning of the different colors. I could guess what they mean but I could be wrong and therefore completely misinterpret the graph. This is a serious usability issue that hopefully the developer will correct soon
Great app..but Great app, full of information. But, many of the images are broken as of a few days ago. The app needs an update to fix where it pulls its imagery from.
Good only if you are American Only tracks storms in and around American waters. Needs to limit maps to in and around the the new world. Totally useless if you live in the 50th state. I see storms all over the Pacific on CNN and the Weather Channel but not a sign of then on this app. If a storm goes so far west it is no longer tracked. I watched a new storm a few weeks ago in the western Pacific that via this app simply stopped in its tracks for 3 or 4 days and the very next day simply disappeared. I've also seen once it start cutting off parts of it's own track. A storm could start 30 miles off Mexico and six days it's cut off the first two days tracking. That's what it did to the storm I was watching move towards the 50th state. It hade been moving for almost a week and all of sudden it only showed the past day or so and simply froze in its tracks.
Some good info, maps, but.... Seems to crash quite a bit. The icons at the top are extremely tiny and hard to see. PROS: Really nice ocean map, good info.
Featureless Kaka I'm investigating apps in the android world before I make the switch from the iOS world. I've found many that exist in the android market but in some cases I've had to look at totally different apps. This is one example when I've been terribly and completely disappointed. I'm using Hurricane HD by Kittycode on my iPhone 4 and it rocks. This app? It's a joke. It's so bad it's comical. No tracking maps (except for a crappy map imported from Google). Sats and radar? More stuff just ransacked off the 'net. No history of past storms. No Pacific or Atlantic choices. All in all this app is probably the best example of why the android market sucks next to what I can do on an iPhone. It's that bad. Oh. I just checked my iPhone and found that I installed this app on it at some point. It's as bad on that OS as it is on Android. Same lackluster non featured bloat just borrowed (stolen) from other sites (like NOAA, etc.). I wish I could give it zero stars.
Auto orate added and should fix crashes that were caused by out of memory.
Please if you get a crash email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
This way I can help out
