Please add the performance feature on Android version! You have that on the iOS but not android? I have to use torque pro for 0-60 at the moment but I much prefer the OBDlink interface! Definitely 5 stars when the performance is added! Good work guys! Update:- since the latest app and firmware update, I am now not able to connect the OBDlink LX on startup. I have to unpair and pair the device or switch on and off the bluetooth, even doing that is intermittent. Please fix.
Not as feature packed as Torque but more than enough for any reasonable person. It's also cleaner and easier to use, though that also means somewhat less customizable. I bought my Scan Tool ODBLink LX partially to enjoy the speed improvement claims. Using Torque, it seemed only marginally faster than my $17 adapter. But with this ODBLink official application........ HOLY F*CK THIS THING IS FAST!!! Watching say MPH is as smooth as Torque set to only poll for and display speed. But with ODBLink, it is smooth and then you realize that it is also collecting data from every other available sensor as well. Scan Tool's ODBLink LX is definitely worth the higher price, which amazingly is only about twice the cost of generic nameless Amazon products. For ~$20 more, you'll know it works, know it is safe for your car, know it won't kill your battery, and know that it is the fastest Bluetooth ODBII reader in the market. Skip "trying the $20 model first" like I did, and just buy this high quality scan tool. It is undeniably worth every penny!
6 months after I got the hardware this app is made for (odblink), it won't stay paired. I had to turn off Bluetooth. Or else, it will disconnect, and reconnect, confirm pairing. (And do that half a dozen times a minute) recently updated the odblink firmware to 4.0, and it started doing it again 20 hours later
The OBDLink LX module (hardware) works very well. The soft-side could be improved (i.e. similar to Torque Pro app). Suggestion: HUD (head-up display) mode and possible, navigation/direction (e.g. HUDWay apps)
It's the best of the best! The obx scanner is the best Bluetooth scanner I have ever used hands down. Must buy from Amazon. To get best deal. Missing the menu button inside of the app. Hasn't been fixed yet.
Might not be as feature packed as torque some say. It scanned codes that torque didnt. So im impressed so far.
- Added support for importing user-defined PIDs from a CSV file.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the app to crash when editing gauge styles.
Check/clear engine codes, view performance data, fuel economy, customize gauges.
