Missing features It would be great if it could be set to continuously try to connect even while the device is locked, and not block on a popup when connection fails. Have to manually open and direct the app to the start page in order to make it connect, otherwise it doesn't even if it's on the dashboard page. Also, it takes more than 5 minutes to load a 10 MB csv file (15 min travel time) for visualisation. The card and the phone are not the issue (80 MBps read,Note 4, obdmx wifi). No PC visualisation software for the data.
still having issues 20160831: loaded the app onto my galaxy s5, selected the information I wanted to monitor from the provided lists and still having connection issues. checked and unchecked boxes and options with no difference in connection. (yes, I rebooted the device after each selection.)
Won't stay connected. Would be cool if I didn't have to perform a reconnect sequence every 15 seconds.... kinda thought it should connect once , then sit on my dash continually updating..... apparently not... only get 10 seconds worth of readout, then it quits updating
Dashboard works fine on my mazda - I wanted engine temp and battery voltage and there they are. No oil pressure but that's the fault of the car not the app. The acceleration graph doesn't seem to allow the phone to be tilted or turned at all, which makes it pretty useless to me.
Excellent. Works with my 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 I have this running on both my Samsung Galaxy Tab and my HTC Evo 4G paired to the OBDLink MX. The software looks very polished and ready to use "out of the box" (unlike Torque which requires some preparations to put gauges down first). AND it's FREE! when you purchase THE BEST OBDII device out there. Save yourself the hassle, spend the extra money and get the OBDLink MX. It has auto-shutoff so you leave it plugged in and not worry it'll drain your battery. It also sends data many times faster than the other
Awesome!!! Works great on my galaxy s5. Super detailed on the codes that come up and the features it offers while driving and monitoring is amazing! The best part is its a fraction of the price of those code scanners you buy from the auto parts store.
Added additional device sensor PIDs including roll, pitch, acceleration w/ gravity, magnetometer, and rotation rate.
Added support for logging device sensors to CSV file.
Added an option to the Dashboard menu to calibrate roll and pitch based on the current orientation of your device.
GPS PIDs can now be displayed on the dashboards, graphs, and PID values page.
Minor bug fixes and improvements.
Check/clear engine codes, view performance data, fuel economy, customize gauges.
