About this app

An OBD2 and EOBD diagnostics tool.
Read out the engine management system of your car with an ELM327 interface.
(Only Bluetooth ELM327 interfaces.)

Some functions are:
Read live sensor data, read-erase error codes, store sensor data on your device or send it by mail, read readiness status, read vehicle identification number.

This Lite version supports values upto Pid20.
(Only if your car supports this values)

With this Lite version you also can check whether your Elm327 interface is working properly, and check your Interface-car compatibility. Some interfaces are of poor quality and therefore sometimes cause problems.

I developed ElmSmartOBD because I needed a quick and easy tool that could run on a mobile device.
With a function to warn me of implausible values during a test drive so that I could keep my eyes on the road.
Also, a possibility to store values during test-driving to compare this values with specifications given in workshop manuals.

Other functions are:
When your coolant temperature reaches a certain threshold, ElmSmartOBD produces a sound, and you see a color change.
You can Increase-Decrease the threshold.

Detection of Bad Elm327 Interfaces.
Some interfaces seem to suffer poor quality and have reliability issues.
When ElmSmartOBD detects bad Elm327 Interfaces, it tries to work with them too.
I have tested a few bad Elm327 Interfaces.

Maybe you find ElmSmartOBD useful too.
Please don't expect fancy dials, gauges or an HUD.
I have created ElmSmartOBD for diagnostic purposes.
Just a tool that tries to help you.
