Reverb allows you to interact with Alexa from anywhere. Via Alexa, Reverb answers questions, reports traffic and weather, gives info on local businesses, provides sports scores and schedules, and more using the Alexa Voice Service.
It can also interact with smart devices that are compatible with Alexa, such as lights, switches, and thermostats compatible Samsung SmartThings, WeMo, Philips Hue, and others.
Alexa is always learning new features, plus thousands of skills like 1-800-flowers, Animal Sounds, and more
Reverb does not support music.
Try Asking Questions:
Alexa, why is the sky blue?
Alexa, how many ounces are in a cup?
Alexa, how far is the moon?
Alexa, tell me a joke.
Alexa, what is 16 plus 41 multiplied by 24?
Alexa, do you know Siri?
Alexa, sing happy birthday.
Try enabling other skills via voice
Alexa, enable Campbell's Kitchen.
Alexa, ask Campbell's Kitchen what's for dinner.

This app does not seem to work exactly the same as an echo dot when skills use extended listening and reprompts. I am using a skill where volume is reduced during extended listening. This works properly on the dot but when the app stops listening the volume stays low for a time and the skill stops responding for a longer time.

Great solid app but I don't understand why you didn't create the app with an always listening/wake up word function, this is the whole appeal of Alexa & what gives users the personal interaction. I know you plan to do this in an update but In my opinion this should have been an essential feature when the app was released.
Good so far, I was hoping to install this app to my Galaxy Gear watch, that would really be exciting! 10 star rating! Please tell us you are making plans to do just that?

Awesome app. I noticed that I was able to use Amazon music recently with this app but I see that feature is no longer active. I hope you're able to bring this back as it is an important part of it for me.

I love it, however I find when answers are given if they are long it cuts out before the end, is there a fix for this?

Doesn't work anymore, not playing music from Amazon or tunein anymore. Please fix this

We tried to match the behavior of regular Echo devices when it comes to volume control. Please let us know what skill you're using and we can take a look it. The app is capable of playing music but Amazon is currently not allowing third party apps such as Reverb this functionality. We are in discussions with them to see if we can work it out. I love it, however I find when answers are given if they are long it cuts out before the end, is there a fix for this?

We have received similar reports from other users. It appears to only affect certain devices and so not everybody is experiencing it.
We are looking into it to see if we can find the cause. Doesn't work anymore, not playing music from Amazon or tunein anymore. Please fix this

Amazon Music not being supported is not the fault of the app. It's due to a music licensing issue on the side of Amazon which we are working on getting resolved with them. Music working this past week was a temporary fluke on their end. This is a pretty solid app so far. It would be great as a smart watch app too.
Installed app, logged into my Amazon account. It takes my commands but does not control Alexa.

We're not completely sure what you mean so could you tell us more about the problem? Reverb is meant to be a separate independent Alexa device, sort of like an Echo in your pocket. It isn't meant to control or setup other Alexa enabled devices. I really love this app, but I wish I could connect to my bluetooth to listen to Pandora. Otherwise, I think it's great.
It won't even let me sign in to my account or my boyfriend's

Do you have the Amazon shopping app installed on your device? If not then you could try installing it and then sign in with your Amazon account. Reverb will then use your sign in from the shopping app to sign you into Reverb. Let us know if that doesn't work for you. rain.agency April 24, 2017
Even though music is currently not allowed from Amazon due to licensing issues, there are still other forms of long audio that can be played through Reverb such news from your flash briefing or Alexa reading your kindle ebooks. We added visual playback controls for previous, forward, pause, and play of all supported long form audio. This app will enable you control Alexa from anywhere .. great with big homes
Love it.....But ask the time and it gives Seattle time even with location on. Is there a time zone setting.
rain.agency May 22, 2017
Amazon requires you use the Alexa app or Alexa website to set the location and time zone for each of your Alexa capable apps/devices, such as Reverb. After you do, Alexa will give you the correct responses for news and weather. Great app, not all Alex services are available but that is an Amazon limitation, not by the developer

We do have Android Wear on our road map but we're not sure how soon it will happen as we have many other features we're also interested in adding. rain.agency April 17, 2017
That is on our todo list. :) Does just what it is supposed to. Seamless integration with Alexa.
This is super helpful for me, as Alexa is the most convenient way to access my smartbulbs. I was wondering, and chance you could add wake-word functionality? It would be even cooler then!

That is something we're working on for a future release. Hands free? I dont have a echo so this app is great for me to get to use alexa
Absolutely fantastic. You've made it tough to decide between this and the Google Assistant! I appreciate creating the 1x1 widget.
Will be a solid 5, once I am able to launch music. It does a good job, just needs this much needed feature.

That is on our todo list. :) It won't connect from outside the USA in Canada and it won't install on a tablet.

The app will install on any Android device that is running Android 5.0+
The app should also work anywhere in the world as long you have a decent network connection. However, the app will not work very well if you do connect to a VPN network or other such service. Cool app Does it support IFTTT? If not, can you have it supported fully?
rain.agency March 31, 2017
Currently nothing specific to Reverb is supported. However, if you create a new applet that is triggered by Amazon Alexa then that will still work if you use Reverb to trigger the applet. Applet example: If ask what's on your shopping list, then send a notification from the IFTTT app. Now excellent after initial issues quickly resolved by a bug fix release after first release to UK market.

There is an update available now that should fix the crashes. Please let us know if everything works well for you. Thanks. Having trouble with my screen overlay but the application seems ok
Love it. I can't take Alexa echo with me everywhere, but can take this app with me anywhere and works the same.

What's New
Added media controls in the app for navigating long form audio.
Added persistent notification for Reverb when the app is in the background. Notification can be dismissed through a close button. This can also be turned off through the “Always Connected” setting in the app.
