I enjoyed it. What you have to do exactly with the cubes on the scale wasn't obvious to me. I looked it up and I understand the solution, but not the reason behind it. Can't say more without spoiling. I just think some clues are a bit too subtle.
Gen-Kan is an odd Kotorinosu escape. For a start, it's short. There's not a lot of 'sparkle' to the puzzles, and - most unusually - not all of them make sense, so it's hard to work out exactly where you've gone wrong and why an attempted solution has failed. True, you can hit the 'Retry' button as often as you like, but that's not a great way to make progress. There are some nice touches, such as the trick ending, but overall I thought it needed some tinkering to bring it up to Kotorinosu's usual standard. Perhaps this was one of their earlier attempts at an escape app: there's none of the multi-layered sophistication of the Room Gamma, Delta, or Sphinx puzzles, for instance. It's good, it's free, it's entertaining, but it's not quite worth 5 Stars.
Both this game and Gen Kan 2 close out immediately before I can even try playing
Literally and figuratively. This game and its sequel were a lot of fun to play.
Cool Difficulty level 4
Highly recommended Should start from this or the pixel one for this series :)
