Review from Aubrey Skelly
Still useless, adverts work but the basic content does not also a problem with sound. Maybe they should remove a few of their useless over payed radio/TV employees and put that money into a decent app.
No chromecast. Also, app is too eager to force ads upfront. Would be an improvement if ads only started a minute or 2 after you were sure the chosen programme actually plays. Sometimes programmes don't work after having scaled annoying 1 to 2 min ad wall. Main gripe though is no chromecast option. If Channel 4 can do it there is no reason RTE can't!
stealing taxpayers money and still pushing them to watch annoying advertising... this is not commercial station depending on adverts, this is just another BBC clone propaganda TV asking every house to pay them 160 euro per annum... huge budget and still cant do proper working android app... irish TV is just pathetic from every view
Clicked on a program and faced with a commercial break before the program even starts. It's not even a live program but not only that your forced to wait over a minute before the program starts, as for the video quality 👎
While it just about gets the job done, video quality is lackluster and the app lacks Chromecast compatibility. The general look and feel is outdated and I found it clunky to navigate. Realistically needs an overhaul.
Low quality video, no Chromecast support and crashes a lot after the adds which requires you to start from the beginning. RTE, if you won't produce good apps for smart TV's then at least produce one good app that will work with Chromecast. It's not that difficult.
Does anyone know how to operate this joke of an apo? I logged in and couldn't select any coverage and missed a match. Thanks RTE!
