I love this app and use it on a daily basis. I would be lost without it. One improvement that needs to be changed on this app is the streaming frame rate. The app streams at 29.97 frames per second and they need to increase pit to 59.94 frames per second. FOX Sports Go streams at 59.94 frames per second for a very smooth viewing experience just like you see on television. I doubt anyone at ESPN that has anything to do with this app will see this but maybe the word will get across to them someday.
Fix it I used to be able to watch it no problem with my time Warner account. It kept me logged in and cool. Now it doesn't let me watch, and it asks me to log in. That's cool. I have an account so not a big deal. I click time Warner, and it just sits there without going to a login screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've force-stopped it, I've even clicked on other providers to see what was up. Many of them don't work including directv and uverse. Fix it.
Good but same problems persist What can I say. I love my sports and the access you get with this app is awesome. However I have a lot of crashing issues especially when connecting to Chromecast. Works best if you open the channel, then connect. Which shouldn't matter but anyway. Next point. It's 10:02 and it's still showing the last hours list of shows so it doesn't refresh on the hour (which I might be nitpicking but...) I usually have to exit the app and open it again and it still takes a second.
Shows Game Blacked Out The Oklahoma State vs Kansas basketball game was on Watch ESPN, because Florida vs Georgia wnet overtime, according to the crawl on the bottom of the screen. Watch ESPN showed the game blacked out. When the Florida game ended and Oklahoma State was finally being shown, it was no longer blacked out. Kinda defeats the purpose of the app if the games listed aren't being shown.
I am that odd American sportsman in that eschew football for rugby. So it was with great pleasure that discovered that ESPN was streaming live and replays of rugby union from around the world. For years it was impossible to view any rugby in the states so this is like heaven. I also enjoy NHL and the occasional b-ball game. So thanks ESPN.
A lot of times the program you are streaming seems to lag or buffer multiple times. Not only on Android device but ps4. If it streamed like Netflix, Hulu or Amazon I would give it 5 stars. BTN 2 go app streams smoother than this app does.
