The one event I downloaded the app to see won't show. It's listed in the menu, I got logged in and approved thru Mediacom then get a "can't get content" error, told to "try later" whatever that means - few minutes? Next month? We haven't developed the software yet?. Underwhelmed at this point.
Will not cast to Vizio TVs that have Chromecast built in. Every single other app I have will cast to the TV just fine, even my unofficial Giant Bomb app. Sure, it might cast to an external Chromecast but why won't you let me cast to the brand new TV that has Chromecast built into it? This makes no sense. Please fix!
Great app. Only issue is randomly freezing during commercials & other times. *update* freezing during commercials is much more frequent now. Force stopping an app 10 times during a game is unacceptable. * after a recent update the freezing is better now, however the quality is terrible. It starts out in HD but quickly drops to SD and is very pixelated. It is fine on shows like SportsCenter and First Take but if you watch a live game it is terrible. I never have this problem with any other apps, that tells me it's not a problem with my device or speeds but a problem with the app or ESPN server
Complete dogshit, and I have 1GB internet! It's amazing this app is still even on the market!!!! Its the biggest resource hog and bandwidth pig of any of the sports streaming apps for android. Even at home on a 100Mbps connection and still getting a crap picture going in and out. Even the replies are crap, yet I can stream Fox2Go and Netflix/Hulu and have awesome picture quality!!!!
Only from time to time we will have a stream blacked out according to the app. It knows I have Directv as I ise it to validate my access to the app. It should also know that cox sports isn't available to me therefore should not block the streamed content.
I previously gave a good rating for this app but have downgraded it due to ESPN's RIDICULOUS decision to black out tonight's Golden State Warriors game for Bay Area Xfinity paying subscribers. WTF ESPN?! It's not like I can go to the game--it's totally sold out! Every other game this season has been on TV locally--including the previous home game just 2 days ago on both ESPN and the NBC Sports Bay Area channel. All of the games have been available via live streaming via this Watch ESPN app until tonight's black out. Instead of the Warriors game tonight, for the blackout area ESPN is airing a totally depressing documentary about the 1989 earthquake disrupting Game 1 of the Giants-A's World Series. Talk about adding insult to injury!
