I enjoyed this game, but it was too simple. Very good, entertaining voice acting, I loved every second of conversations. Good visuals too, but a lot of pointless UI elements. Why would I want to mark all this info about suspects, when it's just one, very simple decision, and you may repeat everything as many times as you like? I would go as far, as to state, it's not a game, but an interactive book, and a good one in my opinion. Too many irrelevant options, that creates illusion of depth, while the gameplay is very shallow. And the ending sucks.
Lots of fun! I really enjoyed this game! The animation, the music, the voice acting, the characters, and the story were all fantastic! I think the only criticism I have would be that the puzzles were a little too simplistic. They didn't present much of a challenge and seemed catered to a seven year old. But that wasn't what identified this game. It was about solving the mystery through great storytelling. Even though I know how to find everything, I will most likely play it again. I cannot wait for the sequel!!!
Worth it! Being a Grimoire lover since I played the first game on PC, I immediately bought this game when it came out. Being a huge perfectionist, I found it quite fun to find every note while learning more about the case and diverse characters. I love the choices in this game, although hate that they don't really do much. It is, however, funny to hear what the characters retort back with. The characters look fantastic, and they sound just as good. Definitely worth the money!
Such a great game! A couple of issues though... I loved this, it was so pretty and was very smooth to play! I really liked the voice acting too, spot on! I did have an issue with items becoming filled in with random bright colours - it didn't affect gameplay but it did look strange! I am excited to play the next in the series (whenever that may be!)
Loved it while it lasted This is a clever and well-made game, really only limited by the number of innovations they crammed in. New game engines and puzzle structures take time and resources, so the game is shorter than I would have liked. They have those bits worked out now, so hoping for a meatier sequel. Length and the simplicity of the few true puzzles are my only complaints with this one. Puzzle fans nay find this a bit light for the price, but casual gamers should do well with it.
Point and Click in the best way Greatly entertaining game similar in style to the Phoenix Wright games: investigate and interrogate to solve a mystery, with a couple of puzzles thrown in for bonus. Don't expect a puzzle game-- this is point and click! It's a bit short, but a good deal for $4. I would prefer a more difficult setting, but I'd love to see another mobile Grimoire and more games like it!
Delve into your wizarding world, solve mysteries and find fantastic beasts!
