The app concept is sound, but the selection of note interface needs more room or some visual improvement. Additionally, from what I can tell initially, the stems on the staff are always up, which makes this game not only more difficult than it should be, but fails to incorporate a very significant aspect of learning to associate (or reproduce) notation correctly.

I'm a teacher looking for a app for students. I'm also a programmer, but was hoping not to have to program a basic music learning tool. This game has kid friendly graphics, but it's absurd to make a kid do each level 3 times, which is stressful, but it's also not how that gameplay function is used. If the game were balanced for learning, it would be great, but it's garbage otherwise. 1 star bc kids will hate it.

This is a very nice way for the kids to practice their notes. I do wish i could choose which notes they start with and practice. They start at the bottom of base cleft when all beginner piano books teach them from middle c... It was definitely worth the two dollars to buy the whole game so they can practice all the notes.
