Excellent for preparing for classroom exams or your certification examination, Paramedic Review Plus™ provides high quality, application-based questions that closely resemble the style found on state and national certification exams. Experienced Paramedics may also choose to use Paramedic Review Plus™ to test their knowledge or to prepare for recertification or relicensure.
Paramedic Review Plus™ questions are based on the new EMS Education Standards and 2010 American Heart Association ECC Guidelines.
Paramedic Review Plus™ is designed to provide several learning options. You may take an entire practice exam at once or choose one of the nine 25-question topical review sections for targeted review. You receive instant feedback on each question with a rationale answer designed to increase your knowledge and understanding. Use the 25-question quizzes to prepare for classroom exams or for diagnostic feedback on areas for further study at the end of your class. Limmer and a group of highly experienced national EMS educators created a product that not only tests your knowledge in key Paramedic course topics but also helps you to prepare for your national or state examination. Questions included in Paramedic Review Plus™ are application-based, “best answer” questions that test your understanding—not just your recall—and allow you to experience questions of the same type you will see on the exam.
Don’t take a chance. Pass the Test with Paramedic Review™.

Version 2.8: Minor change to "add notes" feature/parameter section. Temporarily removed due to critical issues on certain devices.
Blood gas status plays a key role in evaluating the condition of critically ill patients. Evaluation of blood gas parameters can be divided into subgroups of oxygen status, related metabolic parameters and acid-base status.
Because each subgroup consists of several parameters, the amount of data to interpret may be overwhelming.
Radiometer’s blood gas app is an easy-to-use guide to assist you with this task.
The app supports the following languages:
Danish, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
The app opens in default language chosen on your device. Specific choice of language can be made through the device settings. Select another default language manually by clicking the settings icon on the default opening screen (bottom right).
The app offers guidance to the evaluation of arterial oxygen status based on comprehensive blood gas analysis (including oximetry) and a closely related metabolic parameter, lactate.
Users can add and edit their own reference intervals as well as notes for individual parameters.
In addition, Radiometer’s new app provides a description of the parameters available on Radiometer‘s blood gas analyzers, including blood gas and acid-base parameters, metabolic parameters and electrolytes, as well as guides to evaluating them.
Although such a guide always has to be used with caution, as not every possible detail or condition can be covered, it can help the clinician make decisions with regard to the need for further tests and therapeutic interventions.
Paramedic Drugs is a fully-featured flash card app that includes:
+ Main Deck
+ Faves Deck
+ Ignore Feature

Individual cards can be added to or removed from a built-in "Faves Deck" at any time. Use the "Faves Deck" to study only the cards that really give you trouble.
Cards can also be "ignored." If you've mastered a card, just add it to the "Ignore List."
Both the "Main Deck" and the "Faves Deck" can be shuffled at any point.
You can also select which side of the card (front or back) you want as the primary side.
There's also a search feature and a complete index!
The "Flip" button really flips the card (just like a real flash card!) and the arrows can be used to navigate to cards within a deck.

This application originated from my own want to have this utility on my own phone and wanting it to be plain, simple, and to the point. The interface is plain black text on a white background and the interface widgets (drop-down boxes, select buttons) are all plain, simple, and easy to see in low-light, as well as daylight conditions. I have taken no effort to make this application appear pretty, trendy, or hip. In fact, aside of continuously testing it on other people’s devices and working with the layouts on phones and tablets; I’m purposely leaving the look and feel of it alone.
However, an important note is that this application will be receiving several improvements in the upcoming updates. Like mentioned above, I use this app on my own phone in the field and test it on my buddies’ devices when they leave them out where I can get to them. So, I will be providing updates when possible to improve layouts, especially on tablet devices and large screen resolutions. In addition to this, it is important to allow updates because I will be adding more utilities to it as time allows. What this means – is that if you continue to allow updates for this app, you’ll get more cool stuff in it. So, please update it when updates are available; it will be worth it.
Please remember that any tools you use while engaged in patient care must be reviewed and approved by your Medical Director Physician and/or agency's administrative staff. Do not use this app unless it is okay for you to do so. Also, always double-check complex calculations by at least a second method. If I can do it, you can too. This app was created by a Paramedic with 10+ years experience in the 911 setting. It is not meant to be your definitive means of determining appropriate drug therapy. You must rely on good, solid skills and a keen working knowledge. Use this app only as a secondary means of checking your own calculations or to give you a "quick and close" number to work with.
*Pill Identifier - Identify an unknown pill based on shape, color, imprint, and more.
*Medevac Tool - Get exact coordinates and easily send them by SMS message to other responders or a dispatcher.
*Medical Abbreviations - Quick reference on commonly used medical abbreviations.
*Glasgow Coma Scale Calc - Quickly calculate GCS.
*Dosage Calc - Do med math calculations and determine proper dose based on patient weight, dosage on hand, etc.
*Fluid Calc - Determine drip rates for fluid administration over a given time.
*APGAR score - Quick reference calculator for APGAR score for infants
*King Airway Sizes - Quick reference for King Airway sizes and inflation amounts.
Enjoy, and if you think of new features that would be useful, let me know!

Most Parkland Formula calculators provide a 24 or 8 hour fluid resuscitation rate. But when transferring a patient to the nearest burn center, what medics really need is a quick way to calculate drops per minute. This is exactly what our Parkland Formula calculator does.
Enter the patient's estimated percent BSA and weight (pounds or kilos), and hit calculate. It's that simple!
A quick reference to the Rule of 9's is provided for your convenience.

“OK -- you just saved my life.... I had read the text on this process 5 times and was so confused and frustrated that my heart rate was going up....(LOL). However, after watching your 3-part tutorial, I COMPLETELY GET IT......... THANK-YOU so much... Your descriptions are simple, and I love the tips on how to remember things and also how to deduce the answers on the "test" that you showed. Can't say enough..... you took me from "ready-for-tears" to "ready-for-cheers."”

Cardiac Blood Flow is my second app created in teaching Anatomy & Physiology (Endocrine was the first). This is the first app in a future series of Cardiac apps that I am creating. Future Cardiac apps include: The Cardiac Cycle, Cardiac Action Potentials, ECG and more!
I designed this app to simulate a SHORT, yet INFORMATIVE, online course for your own PERSONAL use on the go, WITHOUT WiFi needed!
The introduction video shows you how to use the app when you first launch it. Start off with the first VIDEO of 11 videos. The videos are short (under 5 minutes) and since they are stored on your device you can scroll backwards or forwards as you like. I use mnemonics and HELPFUL TECHNIQUES to memorize the material, not just for exams, but to truly UNDERSTAND the material. After a short video lesson, watch another short video with 2 – 3 questions on the previous lesson. After reading the question, pause the video and try to solve the question, then resume the video to see me WALK YOU THROUGH how to solve the problem!
Move onto the FLASH CARDS that are organized by video numbers! If the 24 flash card questions and 14 video questions are not enough, then you have 20 more multiple choice QUIZ questions to attempt for a total of 58 QUESTIONS ON BLOOD FLOW! Each multiple choice question is followed by EXPLANATIONS to your right or wrong answer!
After a video you can access the NOTES section to go over the high yield points of the video. The notes are also great review quickly before an exam with screen shots of helpful diagrams from the videos!
In the MORE section you can read more about me, contact me and link to my online website. Be sure to STAY CONNECTED through my YouTube, Facebook and Twitter sites that can also be accessed in this section!
Currently I am in medical school and I understand that being a student is a time in life where we have little money and little time. Many people are also working and raising families. Even if you are just a student without those responsibilities, I am sure you would enjoy more time to enjoy the rest of life!
That is why I am on a mission to create cheap and AFFORDABLE learning tools that MINIMIZE the amount of time needed to study yet are very INFORMATIVE and break things down. I take the textbook material and break it down into short videos with helpful learning techniques. I want to SIMPLIFY LIFE so you have time to ENJOY THE FINER MOMENTS OF LIFE.
This app is for ANYONE interested to know how blood flows through the heart! From high school, to college, to nursing, to medical school, to other health professions and also the common day person who wants to LEARN MORE ABOUT THE HEART so when they go to the doctor they know what is going on!
Please rate this app and send me your comments and suggestions. Always looking to provide top quality education! All the best with your endeavors!
