Created by Common Sense Media and played by more than 300,000 kids in schools across the US, Digital Passport is now available for teachers to install on mobile devices for their students. Intended for students in grades 3-5, the games and videos inside teach students the essentials for staying safe and responsible while using connected computers or mobile devices. When students complete all of the levels inside, they've earned a Digital Passport to online safety.
Teachers can monitor student progress by accessing the teacher dashboard at http://www.digitalpassport.org. Instructions for setting up student accounts, monitoring student progress and accessing wrap-around professional development and student activity materials can be found at http://digitalpassport.org/educator/materials.
On Digital Passport, students will find their favorite kinds of activities like platform games, tools for creating digital mashups, and other fast-paced gobble 'em up games, all geared toward teaching them important lessons about digital safety and responsibility.
Students will know how to search safely, create robust passwords, participate in online communities responsibly and use mobile devices sensibly.
