Game of Whispers

After the defeat of Poland in September of 1939, Poles didn’t put down their weapons. Numerous underground armed forces were created in the country and hundreds of thousands of Polish servicemen joined the Allies’ forces. Polish intelligence established as many as 30 networks in the whole Europe. Their best cooperation developed with the British where Poles’ work was most essential in the fight against the Nazis. This project presents chosen spectacular successes of Poles in service of the British intelligence.

About the SIS

SIS. No other service would be equally popularized by the pop culture. And no other whose actions would be so strongly covered with an air of secrecy and disinformation. The importance of the British intelligence during the Second World War is impossible to overrate. Those were the people who inspired the fallen Europe to stand up against Hitler; who dealt the cards at all the most significant events; who had their say in creating a new order after the fall of the Third Reich – an order that is still relevant today.

About the project

The project created by Fundacja Obywatelska Perspektywa and held under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland is directed to the young Polish and Europeans. It was designed as a useful educational tool on the level of the basic knowledge of the Polish and general history in the area of Poland’s contribution to the Allies’ victory from the point of view of the war of intelligences. The Internet platform and mobile thematic application “The Game of Whispers” is a factually complete series of story arcs. The technologically advanced project with a mass pop cultural character is a tool supporting the positive image of Poland.

In “The Game of Whispers”, we do not aim at consciences and instead of complexes and claims we use emotions to reach imaginations. Accurately with currently received cultural codes, we want to change the way of seeing the part that Poland played in the history of the Second World War.
