About this game

The CBeebies Storytime app is filled with free interactive storybooks to inspire a love of reading in kids. The children’s stories in the app promote CBeebies’ core values, with themes of inclusivity, sharing, friendship and more. There are two reading modes to choose from, so children can read independently or with a grown-up.

Choose books from CBeebies favourites such as Vegesaurs, Octonauts, Colourblocks, Supertato, Mr Tumble, Bing, JoJo & Gran Gran, Numberblocks, Alphablocks, Hey Duggee and Peter Rabbit as well as stories read by familiar faces in our CBeebies Bedtime Stories collection. Books are free to download, with no in-app purchases.

Each story is brought to life with magical things to touch and play with. These imaginative stories for kids are designed to support early years reading, so you and your child can enjoy reading, playing, and learning.

Children can join Vegesaurs, Octonauts, Colourblocks, Supertato, Mr Tumble, Bing, Alphablocks, Numberblocks, Duggee, Andy, Peter Rabbit and JoJo & Gran Gran as they go on amazing adventures!

READ ANYWHERE:

No Wi-Fi? Downloaded stories can be read offline, so you can read books at home or out and about, there are no limits! You will need an internet connection to access the library to download new stories or return any you have finished.

BBC Account sign in functionality is currently available to new users and some existing users of the CBeebies Storytime app as we gradually roll out the feature. If you have previously downloaded the app or are updating, you may not be asked to sign in at this stage but will in the future.

Ratings and reviews

When I first got this app I would have given it a 5 but there hasn't been a new story added in over a year. I understand repetition is good for children's learning but a variety is still good. I would LOVE for there to be an introduction of some new stories soon, even if they're based around the same characters. Over all its a good app however

The old app was great, my little girl loved visiting the library to choose books. We loved talking about the stories and seeing what we could remember. This version is less interactive and harder to navigate. We have actually now uninstalled the app. It used to be our favourite, but this format doesn't suit us.

This is quite good but not as good as the previous platform which I'd give 5 stars. There's not much interaction on these stories and a much smaller choice. My kids loved the old version so much they kept enjoying them and are asking if they can have it back :) Especially the story of the mice and the elephants and the ice princess story. Any chance you can transfer /port the old library / content across? :)
