About this app

The app is designed specially for playing audio books.

You have to manually download the books and place them in subfolders under the "My Audiobooks" folder on your phone.
Every book must be in a separate subfolder, even if it consists of only one file.
In Library→Settings→Root folder select the "My Audiobooks" folder.
Once finished, don't forget to press the "Update" button at the top of the Library window.

First 30 days Full version. Later - Basic version.
Features:
+ Playback speed control. It may be useful if narrator speaks too slow or too fast.
+ Classification of books (new, started and finished) allows you to understand at glance what books have been finished, what you are reading now and what are new).
+ Downloading cover from the Internet brings more life to the book than just blank general cover.
+ Bookmarks allow you to mark interesting moments in the book.
+ List of characters. You can manually create a list of characters to easier follow the story.
+ Automatic pause in case you fall asleep. To continue playback just shake your phone.
+ Playback history allows to return to the previous playback position in situation when you accidentally hit Next file or other button.
+ Chromecast support allows to listen the book on full size speakers.
+ Application Widget. Allows you to control the player from the home screen.
+ You don't have to finish one book to start another. The progress is saved independently for all books.
+ NO ADS!

I use this app every single day, I even bought the full version, something I hardly ever do, not because I needed the features of the full version, but just because I thought the creator deserved it. The best feature, for me, is the sleep function. I often listen to audio books when I go to bed as they help me to get to sleep, so being able to stop playback after a set time period is perfect for this. The only feature I wish the author would add is an arbitrary rewind. So I can just type in how many minutes I want to rewind the playback. As I have a 30 minute sleep timer, when I resume my book I go back 30 minutes and skip forward in 1 minute jumps until I find my place. This means pressing the back button 30 times to start with. I like to keep the navigation buttons set to 1 minute long and 10 seconds short as I use them all a lot during playback. The only time I need to rewind 30 minutes is when I resume reading. It wouldn't be practical to go into settings, change the time period, rewind, then go back into settings and change it back again afterwards.

I virtually never write reviews of anything, and certainly not positive ones. However... This is the best App I have ever used. It works perfectly. It has some excellent features (without being cluttered up with features I will never use). It isn't crammed with adverts or requests for money for "premium features". It recognises every file format I chuck at it. I have been using it for a few years now, every single day, in the car, through headphones and at home and it is just flawless. My only suggestions for improvement would be if it synced better between devices, so I could swap between listening on my phone, tablet, desktop computer etc. Also an Alexa skill to operate it would be good, but I am just being picky. This app is great!

Update: first wrote the review 4 years ago. I'm still loving the app and mostly use it for holidays. Sleep timer is the best but also love just how quickly you can choose to play the book, thanks dev, you've done a great job great app, has loads of great features and is a must have if youre istening to books. Cant think of anything they could do to improve it.

What's new

+ Improved work of the Boost Volume button at the top of the Player window.
Now there should be no crackling noise at maximum settings.
You can use it if the book is recorded quietly or if some sounds are much louder than others and it bothers you.
Increasing the volume makes quiet sounds louder but prevents loud sounds from being distorted.
