Beautifully designed from the ground up, the Smarter app integrates full control of the latest generations of the iKettle, Smarter Coffee and FridgeCam.

Kettle 3rd Generation (all models)

Easy set up for presets such as:
- Wake-up mode. Use this feature to boil your iKettle in the morning or during the day between your busy schedule to always have the kettle ready for the perfect cuppa.
- Home Mode. Have the iKettle boiling, ready for when you arrive home.
- Formula Mode. As a new parent, any help is appreciated. Formula mode boils the iKettle to 100ºC (212ºF) then cools to 70ºC (158ºF) to make formula milk killing any nasty bacteria that may be lurking. Visit WHO for guidance on formula feeding.
- Quick Boil. One tap setting to 85ºC (185ºF), 95ºC (203ºF) and 100ºC (212ºF).
Integrate the Smarter app with voice-activated devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Nest Home, Siri and third-party apps.

Smarter Coffee

Easy set up for presets such as:
- Wake-up mode. Use this feature to brew the perfect coffee in the morning or during the day between your busy schedule to always have the perfect brew.
- Home Mode. Have coffee brewing for when you arrive home
Your Brew, Your way. With our Smarter app, you can personalise your coffee. Choose between:
Strength: Weak, Medium, Strong
Brew Type: Filter, Bean
Cups: 4 to12 cups
Integrate the Smarter app with voice-activated devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Nest Home, Siri and third-party apps.

FridgeCam

FridgeCam is our answer to a smart fridge; a compact and zero-fuss device that can transform any standard, no-frills fridge into a money and time saving, waste-busting powerhouse. FridgeCam has the ability to recognise and track items in your fridge.
Automated shopping list: SmarterAssist will track scanned products and automatically update your Tesco or Amazon Fresh shopping basket.
Always know what's in your fridge: Using the Smarter app, you can peek inside your fridge from anywhere. Simply open the app to view the latest snapshot of your fridge's shelves
Best before: Receive notifications when the products in your fridge are about to expire.

Use the Smarter app to also set up an IFTTT account to allow you to integrate your Smarter devices with other smart home devices.

Please Note: This app is for the latest generations of Smarter devices. If you have a Smarter Coffee 1 or iKettle 2 device please use the classic Smarter app. Available from the store.

Ratings and reviews

UPDATE: App hasn't connected since early September. It's now the middle of December, and it still isn't working. Support responses have been slow or nonexistent, and the best they can provide is "we're aware and it's being worked on. " For four months....? ORIGINAL: This has been a great kettle/app combo for two years now, but suddenly, the kettle will not communicate with the app. Tried unplugging, resetting, uninstalling and re-installing the app, nothing. I miss my kettle :(

Works great, easy to use. Had no trouble at all setting it up, and connecting with the kettle was easy and quick (unlike some reviewers). Would have been a 5 star review, but docked one star as I cannot get the notifications to work, and the interface is not as intuitive as it could be.

Completely useless. Do not waste your time and money on any "Smarter" products. I wasted both trying tirelessly for hours trying to connect my gen 2 coffee maker. It only works on 2.4 GHz and can't differentiate the difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so I disabled my 5 GHz and still a no go. Not so smart. A smart coffee machine that can't connect to WiFi? Really?!?
