Good functions needs better presintation Like all Taxpayer funded software it works...but because of budget contraints it didn't get to where it could have gone. The saving grace is that of the ABC News Content. Slightly left leaning, but mostly Unbiased news. Wish there was more business content though.

Quality Continues to gives a comprehensive summary of the real news from an Australian perspective. The no nonsense headlines-based menus make navigation easy. If I have a criticism, it is the inability to prefence types of stories: I have no time for cricket or football for example and would prefer to not dig for environment reporting. But overall streets ahead of anything else.

Seriously good Can't fault this excellent application, although sadly news is not always updated quickly. And the ap itself runs faultlessly on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. News is sadly occasionally Sydney - centric.

Rotate phone reloads page Very annoying that if you are reading a lengthy article and you inadvertently rotate the phone, or do so to enlarge a pic, the app refreshes or reloads to the top of the page. No other apps on my phone (moto g2) have this issue. Other than that this is a great app just loaded with interesting specialty news and c.a. sections and radio feeds. Slow to load and often hangs but great when it gets going.

Still the One! Great Aus news app.....still wouldn't be without it - part of the family! Check in with ABC every dau Like all technology, has ups & downs & glitches, but generally great app and wouldn't be without it! Part of my daily routine now.

Viewer interactivity? There used to be time and place for viewer comment but that is now disabled, out of fear of defamation? Most other news feeds have a place for unfiltered viewer banter, sometimes inspiring a narrative other than the agenda driven narrative of the ABC editorial. What, can't handle another point of view, aunty?

Possibly the best news app for Android! ABC has got it right in putting together a pretty decent news app! I especially like how intuitive and responsive the interface is; unlike the Times app, I can comfortably slide up/down articles or across them smoothly and without the app mistaking them my fingertip's motions. Well done ABC!

What I was looking for This app gives me what I want with the option to delve deeper. I don't feel as manipulated by this media as I do some of the others. I particularly like that I can get world news, science and other topics. Best app I've found for news so far.

Threadbare news offering I am embarrased by this app. It sets a very low for our national broadcaster. Not a patch on the content and categories in the BBC app. Poor grammar doesnt help either. Categories use the same poorly written stories. The ABC is becoming very tabloid in its offerings, and appears to employ the bottom level "journalists", if indeed they graduated. Most don't have a good grasp of basic English. The ABC doesn't like criticism either.

Reasonably unbiased Great when it works. Very poor reporting on science and tech. This area is supposed to be where we are heading for jobs, growth and employment but the ABC obviously hasn't heard.

The actual app is fine, but who is writing these articles? Are they proofread? The grammar and syntax are terrible. Pick your game up people, your supposed to be professionals.
