The number of chicken-n-egg scenarios that are built into this whole eduroam way of doing things is mind boggling. You need an internet connection to download an app, for the app to load institutions, to connect to your university help page if things don't work, and so on. All this for a supposed convenience. At the end it still doesnt work on Android 11. Android goes between "connecting" and "saved", without bothering to say what exactly went wrong).

The app simply does not work! First, it should not be needed. There should be a manual way to configure eduroam; moreover, this app requires an internet connection, which leads to chicken-and-egg situation really soon. Second, it does *not* have an option display your password. For someone using a strong password, this is a major PITA. Moreover, the connection just always fails. The application has no checks whatsoever, so there's no way to know why it fails. USELESS, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Editing my review. I got there in the end, but took me at least 30 minutes. Still don't know what I did differently that made it a success and got the WiFi set up and saved on my phone. I still dont know why Eduroam needs an app to set up, rather than us being provided with the key details
