The number of chicken-n-egg scenarios that are built into this whole eduroam way of doing things is mind boggling. You need an internet connection to download an app, for the app to load institutions, to connect to your university help page if things don't work, and so on. All this for a supposed convenience. At the end it still doesnt work on Android 11. Android goes between "connecting" and "saved", without bothering to say what exactly went wrong).

The app simply does not work! First, it should not be needed. There should be a manual way to configure eduroam; moreover, this app requires an internet connection, which leads to chicken-and-egg situation really soon. Second, it does *not* have an option display your password. For someone using a strong password, this is a major PITA. Moreover, the connection just always fails. The application has no checks whatsoever, so there's no way to know why it fails. USELESS, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Associates itself with a bizarre range of file types (default handler for .zip?! Why?) making it impossible to have the app installed and use my phone normally. Choose between Internet access at work and having a working phone. Useless. 2023 Edit: Still no update, several years on. I think it somehow becomes the default handler for all files on Android regardless of MIME type. Perhaps it's possible to hack the apk manifest and sideload it to stop it doing it.... But come on Eduroam just fix it?

- configures Passpoint networks on Android 12+ using ""suggestions" and manages these from the App
- configures SSID based networks using Android 12+ APIs
- adds new languages
- restricts mime-types: App does not appear as (save/send) destination anymore
- changes some server certificate checks

If the eduroam profile does not work well, please remove your existing eduroam profiles first.
