Indoor Bike turns a smart trainer and your phone into a complete indoor training setup. It connects over standard BLE FTMS, runs structured power-zone workouts in ERG mode, and saves every ride to your phone as a file you own. No account, no subscription, no cloud.
STRUCTURED WORKOUTS IN ERG MODE
The app holds the target wattage for every interval and the trainer does what it is told. You hold cadence, it holds watts. A starter library is included, and workouts are plain readable JSON: edit them by hand, share them with a friend, import one from a file, a URL or a QR code, or browse a community repository from inside the app.
JUST RIDE
No workout, no plan. It starts at 40% of your FTP, you dial the power up or down with the plus and minus buttons, and you ride until you stop. Saved, exported and counted towards your progression like any other ride.
RIDE A REAL ROUTE
Load a GPX route and the trainer switches into FTMS simulation mode, so what your legs feel is the gradient of the road rather than a target number, and your speed comes from the watts you actually produce. Virtual gears shift without touching your bike, modelled on real chainrings and cassettes: choose a road double, a 1x gravel bike or a 1x mountain bike, set your bike weight, and climb. The display shows the map, the elevation profile and the live gradient as you go.
YOUR PROGRESSION, ON YOUR DEVICE
Streaks, rider levels, badges, week-grouped ride history and time-in-zone, all computed on the phone from your own saved rides. Nothing has to be uploaded for any of it to work.
TRAINER AND SENSORS
Any FTMS-compatible smart trainer should work, with the Wahoo Kickr Core as the first-class target. Optionally pair a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor and a Zwift Click controller.
TAKE YOUR DATA WITH YOU
Export any ride as a standard FIT file. Intervals.icu sync is optional and strictly opt-in: upload by hand from the post-ride screen, or automatically after each ride, and only once you have entered your own credentials.
BACKUP AND MULTIPLE DEVICES
Point the app at any folder your phone can reach, including one kept in sync by Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud, Syncthing or OneDrive, and it writes a small JSON file there. Another device pointed at the same folder picks up your rides, your library and your settings. No account, no central server.
PRIVACY
No ads, no analytics, no crash reporters, no tracking. The app reaches the network only where you ask it to: map tiles while you ride a route, a workout repository you choose to open, and an upload to Intervals.icu once you have set it up. There is no account to create and no telemetry to opt out of.
A browser-based workout editor lives at indoorbike.app. Build a workout there, scan the QR code it produces, and it lands in your library without a round trip through anyone's server.
