Mapillary is a service for crowdsourcing street-level photos of the places you care about, by simply using your phone. Together we are creating a visual representation of the world that anyone can explore.
This app lets you:
- take photos and upload them to the Mapillary service;

For the last few versions I've been unable to collect almost any data as the app constantly gives me bad accuracy. Even on open roads without any obstacles. It usually records 20-30 images in 1 hour of recording attempt. Also, the fact that you can't set your profile photo on anything except iOS is extremely annoying.

Login process compared to e.g. OSC is just horrible: even logging in via osm you need to first sign up (if you don't you do not get any useful error message) and you need to enter both a user name and an email address. It is completely unclear what the point or advantage of logging in via OSM actually is.

Hi, After the update, I'm not able upload photos from two of my devices, but it is possible from the third one. I tried do this manually through laptop, but again unsuccessful. Any idea what the problem is?

Did you wait a while for the viewer to load (it's black in the beginning and needs internet)? Mapillary is the best street level app available now. Amazing technology and amazing team.

Good idea, getting better. It would be nice to see how many views my photos got recently. So i'll feel more 'involved' :)

Hi there, what device? Any chance you can send the device logs with "adb logical" from your computer? It's good app, but my suggestion is to apply more resolution option for photos, not just low. With Xperia you have really big and enormous or smallest possible photo.
Can not connect with either Google or OSM - Mapillary is added to list of connected apps (once in google and multiple times on my OSM account). Edit: signing in is a poor XP but then works fine.

Hi there,
you first need to sign up using Google/OSM, then you can login. Just logging in is not going to work since we need you to choose a username. Can you please sign up first using OSM or Google? Reduced possibilities 3.0 version does not allow to adjust time interval by 1 second. And I really hope that this time after major update there will be no bugs in basic app functions as it has been so many times already. Updated info. Again I have faced a huge bug. App does not trigger gps unless you select map view. Shame on you, mapillary guys. 2.× version trigerred gsp when camera mode is open, and it was OK. Now even camera mode does not trigger gps, I need to select map view which works as workaround for this bug.

You want GPS to on as soon as you turn on the app? We remove that because of reports on draining too much energy. The GPS is now activated when you are in the map views or in the camera and much faster. Also, we added 0.5-10s in 1s-intervals back, thanks! It's out in 3.01 now. Geologist Good for Societal Gis. Make it Open Source and it will remain for ever.

Thanks Vladimir, much appreciated! GPS can't fix on a location Error is always >15.0 even though other apps use the GPS fine. Also need the option to bulk delete photos in the sequences menu. I have a lot of useless pictures and it's a pain to delete them 1 by 1.

With the recent 2.36 this should get better? Can't use device camera - Moto X (2014) Great idea, but I tried to use it on my phone without success. The app could not access my camera, which kind of renders it useless. I like the service, though--I can upload geotagged photos acquired with other apps.

There are date filters on the website, and we can building more - you can choose start/end date, and will be able to display images by users (for instance only yours) and others. Practical, fun and simple to use. The most immersive way to share the world around you.

Could you please explain a little bit more about the problem?
In the meantime please go into Settings and tick 'Skip location check' It is useless on my Nexus 5x, pictures are uploaded upside down. All pictures taken on my Nexus 5X are upside down.

Team Mapillary Great idea But the app need some stability improvements. "Locks up" when navigating in the explore section. No intuitive way to exit a mapped route but to exit the app completely.

The Explore section is going to the website, which is not optimal for a phone experience. Next up is making this native phone views. stay tuned! Tons of crashes I've had this app for a day. It has already crashed 4 times. Att note 3.

We are working on a next version, feel free to raise issues on the bugs at https://github.com/mapillary/mapillary_issues/issues. Better now in v1.13+? camera crash + battery drain? Oops - during panorama mapillary crashed. the camera connection was lost causing all other camera apps failing to connect to it. After that a beast called mm-camera-daemon began draining the battery turning the phone into a pocket warmer. please fix! btw: Who owns the uploaded pictures? Will they remain in public access? More stars after more clear statements about this.
