About this app

Volumee lets you skip tracks while listening to music - you just need to hold down the volume button.

The application is able to work both while the screen is on and off. In contrast to other similar tools, it works properly regardless of the application that is currently open.

Volumee is compatible with all the most popular music apps - a track will be skipped in the player which is currently active. The service works in background, responding to volume buttons clicks only when it is needed (i.e. when any recognized player is displaying a notification). Otherwise volume buttons work as usual.

The application uses the "Accessibility service" to operate. It can help the visually impaired users - they can skip tracks in their favorite player without looking at the screen.

No personal data are collected (more details can be found in Privacy Policy). The application has no dedicated backend server.

*** IMPORTANT ***
Starting from Android 12, Volumee requires Always On Display (always show time and date) option to be enabled in order to operate when the screen is OFF.
Unfortunately, Android 12 was releases with a bug and currently it does not behave as its documentation says.
The problem was reported to Google - let's hope they will fix it in the next Android version.
This is the only workaround which allows to continue using Volumee. Please be aware it might not work on some devices.

This app has been essential since the day I got it. It's often easier and quicker to hold my phone on the side or in my pocket to skip songs than use the lock screen notification or hold down on a wireless earbud. I've even gotten the Pro version to help pause/unpause or rewind songs while I'm driving so I don't have to look down at my phone to do these actions. You can even customize the shortcuts to enable this, including multiple triggers for one action. I've already recommended this app.

I love this app. I recently switched from a Motorola phone to a Pixel and I missed the ability to switch tracks using the volume button. In the latest Android, your screen has to be on for this to work... Some people think that's a negative but I actually like that because when the screen is off, the volume buttons, even when held down, work just like volume buttons... When I want to switch tracks without looking at the screen, I just hit the power button and then hold down the volume buttons..

Works great on Android 12. I use this app to control music while riding in my motorcycle. It's hard and dangerous to use a screen while riding. No ads is amazing. Even ads within the app would be fine considering you only need to open the app like once in a blue moon. I wish there was a feature to pause music. Maybe letting the user switch what a long hold does? Like being able to set holding down the volume down to pause or play instead of previous track. Or maybe an extra long hold pauses
