No selling, no sharing– just the privacy you deserve and trust you can count on. Grid is free and open source, and utilizes the Matrix Protocol for end-to-end encryption so only those you choose know where you are.

This app doesn't work. Full stop. It doesn't update locations in the background, ever. It only updates a location if the app is open, and even then it doesn't always share that data with shared users. Devs don't reply to bug reports or address the fact it doesn't work, so far there's been an update to the icon and UI, but the app is still not functioning at all.

Experiencing all the same issues as everyone else. Was so hopeful for this as a replacement for live 360 but it seems this app just needs more attention and effort from its creators. Would love to see: improved overall reliability. not being logged off regularly. not being "offline" much of the time. Geofencing options. Saved locations and group alerts.

Has some issues waiting to be solved, but otherwise a great location sharing app, and basically the only one that respects your privacy. Works for me now (passkey with proton pass), but has login problems.
