This app describes some of the history and nature around Nant Gwrtheyrn. Nant Gwrtheyrn, which lies in a spectacular site on the coast of the Llẏn Peninsula, is the home of the Welsh Language Centre. The centre specialises in residential courses for Welsh learners and is also a venue for cultural events and weddings.
The app guides you around various trails which explain something of the local nature and history. The emphasis is on listening rather than reading. All trails are available in Welsh and English. The bilingual nature of the app will be of interest to Welsh learners. There are also features specifically designed for learners.
Once downloaded, the app will function off-line and the content will be triggered automatically as you approach each point of interest on the trail. The content can also be accessed remotely.
At launch, there are three trials. Further trails will be added in the coming months.

Mae'r ap hwn yn disgrifio rhywfaint o hanes a natur Nant Gwrtheyrn. Mae Nant Gwrtheyrn, sy’n sefyll ar safle ysblennydd ar arfordir Llŷn, yn gartref i Ganolfan Iaith a Threftadaeth. Mae'r Ganolfan yn arbenigo mewn cyrsiau preswyl i ddysgwyr Cymraeg ac mae’r lleoliad hefyd yn croesawu digwyddiadau diwylliannol, ymwelwyr dydd a phriodasau.
Mae'r ap yn eich tywys o amgylch amrywiol lwybrau sy'n egluro rhywbeth am natur a hanes lleol. Mae’r pwyslais ar wrando yn hytrach na darllen. Mae pob llwybr ar gael yn y Gymraeg a'r Saesneg. Bydd natur ddwyieithog yr ap o ddiddordeb i ddysgwyr Cymraeg. Hefyd, mae nodweddion wedi'u cynllunio'n benodol ar gyfer dysgwyr.
Ar ôl ei lawrlwytho, bydd yr ap yn gweithredu all-lein a bydd y cynnwys yn cael ei ysgogi'n awtomatig wrth i chi agosáu at bob pwynt o ddiddordeb ar y llwybr. Gellir cael mynediad at y cynnwys o bell hefyd.
Ar adeg ei lansio, mae tri llwybr. Bydd llwybrau pellach yn cael eu hychwanegu yn y misoedd nesaf.
