The project to create a facilitated guide of the historic districts of Cagliari was born from the idea of a group of 20 boys / girls, dell'Anffas Onlus of Cagliari, included in the project Noi per l'Arte, followed by an educator / historian of Art.
The project started in 2016, with the knowledge of the districts of Cagliari in its historical, architectural, environmental and social aspects.
With the project, all the participants studied the monuments and played an active driving role in the Open Monuments event.
The event is organized annually in Cagliari by the cultural association Imago Mundi.
In the following years the youngsters took the lead in the Basilica of San Saturnino and in the National Art Gallery, with the collaboration of the Museum Complex of Sardinia, presenting the work the Predella di San Lucifero.
In this phase of study has emerged the difficulty of finding a guide to the monuments of the city written with a simple language and accessible to all.
From this difficulty was born the idea of trying to write a guide to the monuments of Cagliari using the easy writing (easy to read).
This idea could be achieved thanks to the financing and support of the Banco di Sardegna Foundation.
