🤔 HOW IT WORKS

When a podcast episode is added to your queue, STFUAI Podcasts downloads it to your device and analyzes it. Our AI identifies various sorts of skippable segments, including:

- Advertisements & sponsor reads
- Self-promotional segments (e.g. "You might like our other podcast...")
- Intros and outros
- Closing credits

During playback, detected segments are automatically skipped. No fiddling with your phone while you have wet hands covered in whatever you're cooking, just to get to the player UI and manually skip through several minutes of ads.

🎙️ PODCASTER-FRIENDLY

We know that you listen to podcasts because you enjoy them, and you probably don't want to mess with the revenue of the podcasts you love. This is why STFUAI Podcasts has specifically been designed to avoid disrupting the revenue (or metrics) of the podcasts you're listening to.

Here's how it works:
Advertisements are typically dynamically inserted into the podcast audio file as you download it. Everything from your geographical location to the type of device you're listening from impacts the ads you hear, which also impacts the metrics and revenue of the podcast.
The STFUAI Podcasts app downloads the audio file to your device just like any normal podcast app would, meaning the exact same dynamic ads you'd normally have to sit through, are still there in the podcast episode audio file.
The ad-skipping functionality in STFUAI Podcasts happens entirely locally on your device.
To podcasters and advertisers, it's exactly the same as if you were just manually skipping over the ads yourself. Their metrics are not impacted, their revenue is not disrupted, and you don't have to listen to advertisers screaming at you about their products.

You can, of course, still choose to support the podcasts you love - because the contents of the ads are analyzed and distilled down to their core message, along with any special referral links or affiliate codes mentioned in the ad that was skipped. You can view these summaries with the sponsor names and any relevant links or codes anytime in the player UI just by opening up the app!

Ratings and reviews

Does not work. I started a podcast known for its many ad segments. never skipped any of them. I actually got LESS ads using antennapod which doesn't auto skip segments as advertised here. Edit: 1 month later works a little better, it detects sponsor segments but still stops then way too early so I still hear the last 10-15 seconds of the ad. At this point it's stick quicker to use an alternate app and just use the quick fast forward buttons.

Great app, first I have come across to do this. Works well enough on free tier, is now my main podcast app

It's an app that removes ads from podcasts.. for more than a Spotify subscription. Trying their best to make you join their little discord for patch notes. Greed got to them. It was a solid idea until it got shot in the back of the head. Don't be fooled by any justifications on pricing because of server costs and such, it has an £89 tier ffs - it's a grift using other peoples work. It's already had the prices hiked since subscriptions were added too. Avoid.
