The Natural History Society Northumbria (NHSN) is planning a new atlas of bumblebees in North East England to be published in 2019. This application helps you identify bumblebees using a simple key and photographs. No previous training needed.
This application follows the key in the ‘Field guide to the Bumblebees’ by Mike Edwards and Martin Jenner (2018, Ocelli publications) and we thank them for allowing us to adapt their key for this app. The app allows you to identify to species, and automatically records the date, time and location. You have the option to submit records to our dedicated email service or submit your records directly to the iNaturalist website.
