Language skills are a currency. Language Barter is indirect language exchange. Earn credits by using your native language to host learners in group conversational practice. Spend credits to practice your target language in group conversations hosted by native speakers.
Flexible: You help learners practice your native language. Later, you participate in sessions in whichever language you would like to practice. Your “students” aren’t necessarily your “teachers.”
Schedule-driven: You don’t have to find practice partners who fit your schedule—you go straight to the schedule to join conversations in the language you’re learning.
Group learning: Group conversations are more dynamic. They invite multiplie perspectives, and they foster friendly competition and error correction.
(Note that the beta version does not include a credits system; initially the system will rely on users volunteering to take turns leading sessions in different languages.)
