The purpose of the application is to take care that the orders are delivered on time at the customer end by the couriers of a Restaurant. The application keeps track of the GPS location of the couriers who deliver the orders to the customers. Based on the communication layer between Cashdesk POS system and the mobile App, a certain number of orders are assigned to each courier. Each courier is responsible for her/his own list of orders to deliver at the customer end.
Steps taken to understand the functioning of the App:
1- Courier opens the App
2- The assigned orders for the courier are retrieved and displayed
3- Courier chooses one order to deliver
4- The App sends the GPS location of the Cashdesk POS system (every 5 seconds, GPS location update is sent to the POS system to keep track of the courier’s location)
5- Whenever the order is delivered, the courier selects the order and press on the button “Delivered”.
6- Data on delivered order is sent back to Cashdesk system
7- The delivered order is deleted from the list in the App
