Appy Weather also offers a rich variety of widgets, with 15 options covering now, today, and the week ahead. Available in sizes from extra-small to large, they’re designed to fit different layouts, so the forecast is always available at a glance on your home screen.

Smart notifications keep you informed in different ways throughout the day — from an ongoing temperature reading and a morning report for today, to an evening heads-up for tomorrow. You can also receive precipitation alerts and daily summaries from your subscriptions, so you know what to expect without needing to constantly check the app.

Subscriptions

Appy Weather offers multiple subscription tiers, along with a limited lifetime pass. Subscriptions remove ads and unlock premium forecast sources, smart and calendar subscriptions, advanced comparisons, filters, maps, widgets, and notifications.

Privacy-first by design

Appy Weather is privacy-first. It doesn’t collect or process personal data.

Rest easy: Appy Weather is 100% private. If you grant location access, it is used only to retrieve your local forecast. While coordinates are sent securely to our weather providers, they are sent without personal identifiers and are never sold or shared for marketing.

Widgets and notifications may check your location in the background when they’re updated or sent, so forecasts remain relevant to where you are.

Ratings and reviews

The transition from version 1.0 to 2.0 of this app was a bit rocky. The developer has released an update to 2.0 several times a week (including a change log) since its release. 2.0 is getting better, much better. I initially cancelled my yearly subscription after using 2.0 for a couple days. I have since re-activated my yearly subscription. Loved version 1.0 of this app. Version 2.0 is getting better - by the day. Keep up the great work Bardi!

When Dark Sky left the android world, I was frustrated. Then, asking comes Appy. It is Dark Sky on steroids. Using the same data base, Appy provides an excellent platform for your weather needs. Is well laid out, easy to understand, it is simply a great weather app. I highly recommend it. Here I am five years later and still using the Appy weather aap. Barti has done a great job keeping this up to date and relevant. I suspect I'll still be using the app five years from now. Thank you so much.

I've been using the paid version for years. The app started crashing this morning, even after clearing cache and deleting and reinstalling the app. Given the nu.ber of reliable free weather sources, I can't see paying for mediocre performance. I canceled my subscription. To the developer, thanks for reaching out, but I've already canceled and uninatalled the app. Good luck.
