Still An Excellent Outliner Been using since Feb 2015 and still going strong. Outliner combines ease of use and good functionality with a well presented user interface to provide an excellent hierarchical notepad. Scheduling is basic but useful. Free version has no ads but Pro version is good value for the extra features and to support the developer. HTML export is handy for tree printing as it lends itself to easy formatting using CSS, and the backup system is good for keeping your data safe. Updates continue to improve this app.
Excellent but needs a few critical changes (1) Menu item help, including creating new outlines. Some options (I forget which ones) preclude some features like moving an outline by flicking it up or right, etc. (2) Export a specific outline doesn't work but has no help, explanation or documentation. (3) Suggested improvements to both the free & paid versions that are needed if author wants to be rated at the top. Example: how to move a top-level outline to become a child of another one.
Simple, intuitive, but syncing? It seems simple, intuitive and well documented, it took me minutes to get started with this app. ▪Don't like Internet permission in a notes app. ▪Unable to check any import/export/syncing as this is all in the pro version. If I was to change from my current app, it would be so I could use 'Syncthing' to sync, and I'm not sure that's possible with Outliner as it does not have an option to store outlines on SD instead of internally.
Excellent App! This app easily replaced the outdated ListPro and became the end of the Ipaq genre for me. Would like to see text editing and even adding pictures but, hey, who am I to quibble when I know nothing on how hard it is to make an app! Excellent export functions makes it easy to retain my important data to sync with TreePad. I mean so far, I can't complain compared with the other options out there.
Good outlining functions especially for long notes. Primary weakness is that files cannot be grouped or organized, just a list sorted alphabetically which if it gets long is cumbersome.. Option is to export to Treepad and organize those files on PC...but it's just a tedious workaround... App shows promise but needs further development.. I'll hold onto it and see what develops...
One of my two ESSENTIAL apps! There are only TWO reasons I need a tablet, and this is one of them! I have been using and following the development of this app for some time, and I must commend the developer for a job very well done. He does not rush upgrades out to market without thorough testing, and as a result his product is very stable, functional, and compact. Too many apps today are bloated with spaghetti code that adds nothing to value but makes them slow and unwieldy; this is NOT one of them. I highly recommend this app!
