justboys is a coming-out and safe space community for gay, bi, and queer boys aged 14 to 29, the German-language equivalent of TrevorSpace.
We are explicitly not a dating or hookup platform. Our goal is to offer young queer people a safe space where they can explore their identity, share coming-out experiences, read editorial magazine articles on LGBTQ topics, and talk to our AI counseling assistant (jBot) about their concerns. All in German, with German-speaking moderators, for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
We are open to all ages and communities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. WHAT YOU'LL FIND:
• Coming Out Magazine: Editorial articles on coming out, mental health, school, family, and relationships
• jBot, your AI "big brother": asks you questions, listens, and connects you with resources (free, anonymous)
• Squads: Topic-based groups such as gaming, school, sports, and coming out support
• Meetups: Local, real-life get-togethers for friendship (no dating)
• Moderated Feed: Posts are reviewed by AI content filters before publication
• 1:1 Messenger for friendly chats
SAFETY FEATURES:
• Block and report functions in every post, profile, and comment
• Reports are addressed by the moderation team within 24 hours
• Strict separation of 14-17 and 18+ users in the app architecture (separate spaces)
• Clear Terms of Service: 18+ users may not initiate romantic or sexual relationships with minors. Violations will result in immediate and permanent suspension and, if necessary, criminal charges (see Terms and Conditions §4a).
• No Tinder-like swipe or match mechanics
PRIVACY:
100% private. No selling of data to third parties, no advertising, no tracking beyond technically necessary cookies. Servers in Europe, GDPR compliant.
