The Austrian Diabetes Association (ÖDG) mobile app "Diabetes mellitus – Guidelines for Practice 2026" offers a concise, well-founded, and updated guide to numerous aspects of diabetology, from classification and diagnosis to prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus under various conditions, to facilitate the implementation of recommendations in everyday practice.

This summary is based on the full version of the guideline "Diabetes mellitus – Guidelines of the Austrian Diabetes Association (ÖDG). Revised and expanded version 2026" (Wien Klin Wochenschr (2026) 138 [Suppl 4]: S71–S416).

The app is characterized, among other things, by the up-to-dateness of the recommendations, the clear presentation of the guidelines, and additional information about the ÖDG.
