About this app

With the version of ALDISmobile specially developed for mobile devices, you always have the thunderstorm map from ALDIS (Austrian Lightning Detection and Information System) with you. On the interactive map, you can keep an eye on lightning during the current thunderstorm event and zoom in on the provincial capitals, or automatically zoom in on your current location using location determination. Follow the development of thunderstorms in Austria over the past three and a half hours by tapping the play button in the timeline at the top left. If you are outdoors and currently see thunderstorms nearby, move to a protected area immediately. You can find detailed information on this under the information in the app: "Behaviour during thunderstorms". You can use the contact form to send questions and suggestions to the ALDIS team and we will do our best to answer them as soon as possible!
