Simply unreliable. I’ve relied on Google Maps for my Vienna trips without a hitch. But occasionally, I dare to try the WienMobil app, and each time it manages to disappoint. Case in point: today (November 1st, a holiday—so naturally, I triple-checked the route). Yet, when I got to the U-Bahn station, surprise! The arrival times were charmingly off, yet again. Guess it’s back to Google Maps for me. Thanks for the adventure, WienMobil!

I confirm that this app does not work properly. Useful to just look at bus and train routes, stops and ticket costs. But useless if you try to plan a city trip and actually buy a ticket. For example, as a tourist you dont know the names of the streets, you just want to select source-destination on the map, and that does not work properly.

It is very problematic with the tickets. I bought my new Jahreskarte a week ago and still nothing appears on the app, plus all previous payments (i.e. history) have disappeared. To make things worse, Wiener Linien hasn't even sent me the physical card... I have sent them 3 emails and no reply yet. [EDIT] After ~ 2 weeks it finally works. Still, not satisfied with responsiveness and communication.
