It had good intentions I worked one time but the ads kept disconnecting the video to chromecast. I'm all for developers generating revenue for a free app and also offering a pay version but but this was a lil crazy EVERYTIME I hit play an add would pop up (which if after the ad the video casted flawlessly I would have no issues) but the ad will pop and the video will disconnect from chromecast and then you have to hit the play button again and it circles over and over giving me nothing and the developer 15 advertisement views. I really wanted this to work and would even purchase one that works but I'm being generous with the 3 stars because I have a feeling the pay version may be a lil better.
FINALLY! Just what I was looking for- and actually works! I've tried so many things to be able to cast my devices to my Fire Stick. HERE IT IS! Worked like a charm from my phone and my Kindle Fire, easy to use, great instructions, awesome features! I love it so much I upgraded to pro version and was shocked at how little it cost. The free features are excellent but the pro mode is so worth it. Thanks for making a quality app that does what it promises and works so well!!!
100% useless. Basically every single stream will open an add in a new tab when you click play. Of course, this app won't open a second tab, so you get stuck in an endless ad loop. Did anyone even test this app before release? Geez, I should start making my own garbage apps and rake in ad revenue.
Could not get a single video to work using this. Every try led to an ad appearing which canceled any attempt to cast through it. The PRO version could be better, but I won't be trying it.
Seemed nice, clear User Interface, but unfortunately it doesn't support embedded videos.. So far out of every casting app I've tried (rated 3.8 & above), only recently have I found one that will play embedded videos but none have been able to cross over into other apps, & browsers, like this one.. U have to use the casting browser in order to be able to cast, or device memory opened into the app itself. I can't say this app is bad, cuz it does what it says it does, but I know they could be better, hence that I've found that Google Chromecast will work across apps & browsers (which I loved until somehow I messed that up! Can't figure out how to fix it, cuz I blocked a pop up or notification, but not thru my phone settings, but inside the app, now i can't get it back..Grrr..N Idk, seems like Google is hard to get help from too) but..if someone wants to play embedded videos like me. (not a plug btw) Google home works, (Idk if u NEED the Chromcast though..I have one, so that's what I use their app for..) But I found the Tubio App/ casting browser can play embedded video also, and (this is a first btw) makes my Galaxy compatible with Apple T.V.! Which I didn't know was possible! Just wish more apps could simply activate casting features on the whole device, not just screen mirroring or by using their app as a browser. I like being able to use my phone when watching a movie. Long story long, if this app had that one capability, I would use it, cuz I really like the clarity and simplicity of the the UI.
(Disclaimer:I was provided a code to the pro version for unbiased feedback). While this app is kind of basic in its menu systems, it does what it needs to very well; anything extra would be kind of a frill to try and get five stars from me for making all my dreams come true. It automatically detects a video playing on the webpage and tries to send it to your Chromecast when you hit the icon on the bottom left. Why is this useful? It provides a central spot for you to control the media being played back and it allows you to multitask on your device better by putting the media controls in the notification tray as a plus over the standard pause and stop buttons that Chromecast always has. If you're looking for a web browser that automatically grabs media and lets you easily send it to Chromecast, this is the one to get as is cheaper than the alternatives and mostly better too! Only negative I see is that some areas of the app are unpolished and need a little work. I.E. no settings menu and the favorites menu could use some more polish.
The solution was so easy...
# fixed epic bug, which has reportedly crashed the app ~600 times by now (!!)
