Essential for Android Works almost flawlessly on Nexus. Only gets 4 stars because the time stamp isn't always added to a message. So far this has only happened during the rare occasions when an sms is received in the first few seconds during the on-cycle after the phone has been turned off, so I'm happy! Great app ;-)
Brilliant! This is awesome! Didn't work at first but went into menu using app opps starter and turned on to write messages and works now! To the person that developed this......thank you thank you thank you! Networks should do this anyway but you are a genius for this!! Big thumbs up! 😊 EDIT...Doesn't work 85% of the time now? Checked settings. Very disappointing because nothing else out there I can find that does this! 😔
Works good but found a better solution Works as advertised. However, I don't like having this information added to every message so I found another solution. Install GO SMS, settings, advanced, important tips, enable "stock SMS uninstalled?". Now freeze or uninstall stock messaging app to avoid duplicate messages. Now GO SMS will handle the message retrieval and you can see both sent and received times in message details. The stock messaging app deletes this info when receiving messages so as the developer says there is no way to get this info for messages already received.
Time stamp on received sms Samsung S4. Poor reception at work. Often SMS won't download to my phone for hours after they were sent. Now I know when the SMS was sent and not received - the distinction can be important. The interface is very clean and easy to use. It's a pity it is no longer supported because I would have loved and option to add the time to the body text to SMS that I send. Apparently the source code is available - so if there are any developers out there interested in expanding the original.......
Excellent The single most annoying thing with android is not knowing when SMS messages were sent, if your phone is offline. This app works a treat, even with SMS popup installed. Well done! Only one thing could make it better, an option to hide the seconds!!
Thank you so much! This has solved a problem that's been bothering me since I got my sgs2 2 yrs ago. I'm now due an upgrade. With I had this sooner. It's great but this kind of thing shouldn't happen on a handset like this. Thanks again dev's
• 1.2: Should now also work with Verizon USA; added new setting "Timezone fix" when the senttime seems to be wrong timezone (thanks to Tymesha for the bug reports and helping with all the tests)
• 1.1: New logging feature (logfile on SD card) for easier troubleshooting if it's not working for someone (therefore the new permission "modify SD content"); added one-time note for Go SMS
• 1.0: First version
