App has bugs everywhere. Also makes everything unnecessarily complicated like sign you out every few mins, ask for password twice when doing simple things like deposit (every single time), ask for pdf document verification for everything, disable password autofill. All these small things add up. I've used many brokers and none of them went out of their way to make things as difficult as possible for their users.

Portfolio doesn't load and gets stuck. I have a high speed internet at home and its annoying that portfolio doesn't load and it gets stuck to see the balance . I have to close the app and restart to see the balance and the instant up and downs of the day. iPhone app is far better than android app. I use Samsung Galaxy s21 plus. Not sure if the device is causing this issue

This app is good in some ways and bad in others. IBKR as a platform is very professional, powerful, and well developed. This app is an okay way to use that. It's roughly equivalent to the website if not a bit better. The core functionality is easy to use once you get the hang of it. It's very feature-rich. It's well-optimized. The download size is quite reasonable. It looks very nice while still providing tons of information. Sometimes I wish you could customize the information a bit more though, such as showing positions in dollars instead of shares on the portfolio screen, or showing total change or gain of things somewhere. But still, what they give you works well enough typically. The most annoying problem is how networking is handled. Loading screens pop up constantly. Logging in takes forever, seemingly requires you to enter your password every single time ever, and requires great effort to comply with the mandatory 2FA. It technically has a way for you to use your fingerprint instead, but even discovering that and setting it up is a very difficult and unpleasant experience. Also, it only works on one device for some reason. Once you're logged in and using the app, it's a pretty good experience, but getting there is a bear, and it's really quite a big deal if you're just logging in for a couple minutes every day or two and you have to spend half your time fighting the app.
