I bought a SIM online and got it in the mail because amaysim has international roaming with pre paid accounts. (Telstra quit having that over COVID) . I had a last minute US trip come up before I'd made the switch, so I did it and hoped it would work before I got in the plane. process was easy because I had an account from ordering online and switching my number over to about 10 minutes. Their website had really clear directions and it was smooth as. So grateful!

I cannot recommend Amaysim enough. I recently needed a new provider because my old one was shutting down, while I was overseas, after my SIM care broke (yeah, all the problems at once). Amaysim helped me solve the problems caused by my old carrier, get my number ported over and everything sorted out, with an eSIM, while I was still overseas. Their app is super easy to use and intuitive, and their support folks are super knowledgeable and efficient. I couldn't ask for better.

On the plus side, they're cheap, and because they're Optus resellers, their network is reliable. But l have lost count of the number of silly systemic errors l've had to call and complain about, from "account/card no" fields that can't be deleted even when one-offs, an "auto top-up?" box you can untick and then marvel as it switches back on right before your eyes , replacement SIMs that you do everything right to activate but still have to call them... to activate! Just hopeless.
Hey J Will, thanks for your feedback. We'd like to look into this for you. Would you mind contacting us via in-app feedback or sending us an email at app.feedback@amaysim.com.au with your Google username, amaysim mobile number and email address linked to your account? We'll then be in touch ASAP. Thanks again
