During a mare’s pregnancy it is vital for the owners or staff to be present when their mare is going into labour in order to provide assistance and medical help when required. Doing so greatly reduces the risk of harm to your mare and her foal.

Foal App utilises a smartphone attached to the halter on your pregnant mare, an alarm with a video call will sound on your smartphone if she lays down, warning you of a possible imminent foaling.

The video and audio feed helps you to determine false alarms, avoiding numerous late night treks to the barn or paddock. You can also make an on demand video call to check on your mare at anytime.

Can also be used for monitoring ill horses (for surveillance and alarm when the horse lays down).

Worked great! First time I used it, I checked my mare in the evening and she didn't appear ready so went in to eat a meal. I barely sad down when it alerted me in a loud voice "your mare is foaling". I jumped out of my chair, ran to the barn just as she went into labor! I've used it on several other mare and slept in my bed not in the barn. Getting it ready for another foal this year. Great app and much less expensive that foal alert systems of the past.

Used this 2 years ago and it was great, now it's very slow to send an alert to my phone and not accurate, I have a camera as well and it misses a lot or lets me she's foaling when she's standing up, disappointed. Switched back to the old nexis I used before,, works great now.

Im getting less sleep than previous years when I just got up to check. The alarm is going off all the time for connection lost....It's a bug because one receiver phone will get the message whilst the other remains connected.
